_Tejon's Progress question

Okay i decided to use nGCD for once with my new character and i also just installed Progress. According to the readme file i need to wait a few seconds till i get a message at the top of the screen.

IMPORTANT
---------
When starting or loading a game with Progress active, wait a few seconds before
doing anything. Once you see "Progress Initialized" at the top of the screen,
your settings are in place and any real-time options are active. Any actions
taken before this message will cause no advancement, and viewing the character
sheet before initialization will show incorrect progress for your skills.


But i do not get that message, no matter how long i wait? At the moment i have no idea whether Progress is working or not, is there a way that i can check if it is working in game? My skills increase but i do not know whether this is just from nGCD, or if Progress has a hand in it. All Progress ini's are in C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\_tejon together with the ini's from nGCD. According to the conscribe.log nGCD works so i have no idea why Progress is not showing me that message.

It was removed in one of the later versions. You won't see that message. As long as you don't see an error and your other OBSE mods are working, it's probably working, ha-ha. You can quickly check by turning up the progress rate for something really high, if you're actually worried it's not working.

I don't get a message either, but it works fine. One way to check that it is running is to load a save (made with Progress) and immediately open the inventory - all skills will be "messed up" as it hasn't initialized yet. Close the inventory, wait a couple of seconds and check again - then they should be recalculated by Progress.

I raised RestorationCast to 2.5 and then used the starting heal spell you get at the beginning and Restoration went from 0% to 85% with just one cast, while with the default 0.1 it only went up 25%. So now i am certain Progress is working. Thank you very much for tip. :)

LoL it appears that i am not fast enough to check it that way, but i did notice that the percentage bar to the next level was at 100% and after i waited for a while and then checked again it was back at 18%. So together with the method from Tomlong75210 it is double prove that Progress is working, thank you very much Akngt. :)
