Retriever, the most underrated module there is?

Srsly, i've tried it out, and it seemes that when you dont need to pick up the dogtags - you actually live longer.

The only reason I use Retriever is because of the level 2 bonus for requiring 1 less dog tag :P
But the other modules are much more useful

Besides, using support bonuses is cheap, I don't like them, they should be removed completely

If support bonuses would be removed, you could trow the Multiplayer away... The killstreaks are awesome!

Killstreaks are awesome.

But the retrievers strength is in making you forget about collecting DT's and allowing you to focus more on pushing P and killing people

It still has an indirect effect on gameplay, unlike most other modules. You can make yourself unfocus on dogtags yourself, and if you are good enough, only picking them up from head on kills and others lying in your direct path, still manage to get killstreaks.

Sure, but not most people get Killstreaks of 10-15 kills (TO GET THE CHOPPPA). But most people want TO GET THE CHOPPA.

So for them - dog tags are crucial. Thus - they want to pick them up.

Never think that people are capable of somewhat rational thinking . Its a rare feat, and it will always stay that way.

It's a good module but I usually only use it on my sniper class. Sometimes I'll use it with Assault but often you're pretty close to your target as to make it a waste of a slot. With my shotgun class it's pointless obviously (other than the bonuses benefits).

Thing is the stats for it are stored on your client so it gets wiped all the time. Mine has been zero'd 4 times now due to random resets, re-installs and re-activations.

There's positives and negatives of it, while it might get you those tags you might have been shot on the way in getting it can work against you.

For example if you kill three people at a crash site yet get shot on the way there you're left with a radar where as without it you could of picked those tags up when you respawned, killed two more people and got an orbital strike and another two for a max nano/ceph airstrike.

So in that scenario it's a choice of two max radars with retriever or a ceph airstrike, orbital strike and max radar using the same amount of kills without retriever.

Unless I play sniper, which I very rarely do, I usually don't have a problem collecting tog tags. I would better have reduced recoil on always, that makes killing ppl more enjoyable.

Next patch could include some new support bonuses that include explosions, blood and death preferably xD oh, and pretty clouds!!!

You should try being more simplistic.

If you are a midde-skilled player - you often do get killed when you are collecting dt's.
Second bonus is superb, because we all get a **** of double kills, though lacking often that third kill needed for a bonus.

///

To others - if you are good enough, you can choose any modules, but if your middle-low skilled - just stick to the ones that allow you to concentrate on more important things, like killing people, and trying not to die. So because you arent a good player, its hard to understand that for you.

Retriever was the first module I leveled up to level 3..
but two weeks ago it was resetted to level 1 and I don't want to level it up again, because it's taking a lot of time if you don't play Crysis 2 as long as you did when it came out

I used it with my SCARAB silencer and I just sprint-and-kill, sprint-and-kill and sprint-and-kill without thinking of picking the dogtag at all. After two mins, I managed to get the gunship. Seriously, this module is very useful in a way of sniper or fast pace assault. But sometimes, I found that it is not "always" useful. There was a time that I got killed right after I had killed a guy, I just lost the dogtag, I mean if i just leave it there, I may collect more dogtags before i get this one to make a streak. But yeah, that's only my opinion

Leaving DT's has its other side - they dissapear with time.

Leveling up retriever is actually straightforward. BTW you should count the increased number of kills you will get with it. And anyway you need to level it up to 2 lvl to achieve its maximum strength.

Retriever is probably the second most used power module after Mobility Enhance. Its hardly underrated.
