Skyrim Thursday Night Appreciation Thread

There are bugs, there are flaws, but this is the best game you can buy.

Game is amazing. The bugs I've encountered are survivable. The "design flaws" people are experiencing I've survived the worst of (apparently) without a any problems.

The only real problem that I have with Skyrim is it impacting my social life for the past couple of weeks. Its definitely eaten away at some gym time and interfered with my concentration at work (cause sometimes I'm reading up on lore :read: ), but other than that this game is just amazing.

No regrets. Skyrim >>>> every other game out there. :tes:

Yes SKYRIM is a buetiful wonder beyond words. Its like jumping into a fantasy painting from some graphics site like DeviantArt or a pulp magazine cover by Frank Frazetta or Simon Bisley. The fact that am being drawn to so many things in the world that are not combat related is a shocker for someone like me who loves dungeon exploring. The npcs are some of the most interesting i have ever seen in a game with believable behaviour with plenty of variety. Its great to see a drunk fitting the image aswell as children acting like real children. Wildlife feels so alive am afraid to kill them and end their convincing simulated lives playing out before my eyes.

The kill animations are orgismic in their execution. Every time they occur i find myself saying the word "POWER!" in my head. Very brutal stuff with plenty of thats gotta hurt moments.

The underground caves are a vast mix of the sensual and the escalating fear of something unnatural watching one.

Mages are alot of fun to engage since they are tough customers in a fight.

Books are so attention grabbing i have to force myself to not read them otherwise i'll never get out of my SKYRIM home.

Buying a home and coming home seeing my companion relaxing in a room is a fun experiance but took a bit of getting use to. This is also the first time i've owned a non-DLC home since playing DAGGERFALL. Very nice and simple system to get a place to live.

This; it's good. Definitely in the highest caliber of games. While it's the game I will play the most, from an arbitrary critique, I'd say it's not the best game this year.

To me it has the potential to be one of the best games around. They just need to fix most of the major bugs impacting people right now. Not some crap about followers showing up dead to your wedding...right now the game is not playbale for me right now because of patch 1.2 on PC. Mouse sensitivity is messed, MAJOR performance issues and stuttering got much worse. These were not issues at all prior to it. Some things just require fixing. People are complaining because they see the greatness of Skyrim and cannot play it in a way that does it justice. They are all mostly valid complaints and if no one complains nothing gets fixed.
