I personally liked Oblivion's way of doing ore veins, looking at it and being able to search it like if it were a chest. I find it almost ridiculous that people, or at least some people I have met, complained about having seperate curiasses and pants weighing down their inventory. But people are okay with a weight 10 woodcutters or pick axe for a mindless and boring animation of your character lightly tapping a rock.

But I came up with a magnificent solution. Instead they are my weapon of choice. No sword, no bow, just a pickaxe. hahaha.

Yes, yes you can. Also you can actually "attack" the ore veins with one or two pickaxes rather than doing the animation. It still picks the ore and is faster.

You can improve and enchant the axe, and you can enchant the pickaxe.

Also, you can smith ore veins faster if you just use the pickaxe like a weapon on it, especially if you dual-wield.

You can enchant them, I'd name it axesoul (axe with soul trap) and picksoul....

I found out after having a bug with the animation of mining that you could attack them and still retrive ores then it hit me .... Use them to wreck shop... Then assume role of beefcake miner... Genius!

How about Pink Eye attack? Giving you horrible infections with my Pickaxe that carries probably thousand year old bacteria never been able to live and lying dorminant until they entered your bloodstream. lol
