Crysis 2 random Activation

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 4:21 am

With in the last couple of days crysis 2 has asked me to verify my key which it displays upon start up.

I own the retail disc, and I have version 1.9 installed with dx11 and high texture pack.

I am running windows 7 x64 sp1 and have not made any changes to my pc but change the nvidia graphics driver twice. I wanted to see which driver would run best without the driver stopped responding issue. I am running 275.33 whql.

My graphics card is a superclocked gtx 570 hd which actually runs well maxed 1080p ultra with stock factory clocks in precession.

Im just worried that I might run out of activations here. Any suggestions and btw I did install the sdk version 1.0 and then version 1.1

Any help would be appreciated.

It shouldn't trigger an activation just changing a video driver. I swapped a processor a few days ago and that did trigger an activation - I should have thought about it and de-authorised the machine beforehand but this is a warning to others.

Navigate to your Crysis 2 folder and in the Bin32 directory there is an application called Authorisation. Click it and it will tell you what your activation status is.

Yeah... that's strange, but installing "new drivers" should not trigger you to re-activate your game. I've added new hardware to mine and all remained just fine. It could be just a glitch / bug? Or... something else completely..

As for loosing activations, if you run out you can email EA and they will "reset / extend" your activations...
