It's the second Total Conversion that looks like it's serious about being finished. First was Nehrim from the Fatherland, and now we get Andoran from the Motherland.

Coincidence?

I saw this on steam the other day. Looks AWESOME.

As soon as I get everything sorted out with Oblivion I'm getting Nehrim and then when Andoran comes out I'm definitely getting it. It said that it will have engine updates so I'm looking forward to the new goodies that will come with it. :celebration:

Engine update? That explains why it looks different then oblivion despite being on the same engine (and kindof the same game) I hope the group that makes this forms into a new company. it could even compete with bethesda!

Probably just means they'll be including OBGE with it. I recognized Liquid Water and Godrays while watching the trailer.

I love the graphical upgrades, I'm not that interested in it as a TC though. It looks an awful lot like the mod makers said "We loved Morrowind! How can we shoehorn in as much Morrowind as possible?" Don't get me wrong, I loved Morrowind too, but seeing giant mushrooms in Cyrodiil and ships full of invading Ordinators is a bit silly.

Well it takes place on a island south of black marsh. Still it should be more like black marsh. Im sure they can make it like the lore stated.

Ah, my mistake then. The PC Gamer article made it sound like they were basically recreating Oblivion and its main plot according to their standards.

I really have high hopes for this. Definitely looking forward to playing it, and now that I know that it isn't a true "TC" and more like an awesome expansion pack, I just want it more :P

I think it looks awesome and very creative, but my question is "Why does a small island South of Black Marsh seem to have a subarctic biome in it?".

Magic?

This is Tamriel, after all. If one man could turn a jungle into a temperate glade, surely it isn't that far-fetched to imagine equatorial arctic climates.

(Don't take that too seriously, I really hate that ret-con Bethesda pulled on us to explain away Cyrodiil suddenly becoming a generic Western European fantasy land as opposed to it being a jungle as originally stated in the lore.)

The creators of Andoran actually said that there will be a quest to find out the anomalies in the weather.
