Thanks! I am still new to modding with the sandbox, but I will try to implement some multiplayer features soon. If you should come across any bugs, please let me know.

So here comes the first update:

#map is called Three Islands
#added Crash Site, Team Instant Action and Instant Action
#added Support bonuses
#map can now be installed by placing ThreeIslands folder in the mods folder and activatiing it afterwards
#fixed a ledge grab bug
#map can be tested by typing "map ThreeIslands" into the console when in SP mode

Download:
http://www.file-upload.net/download-3586860/ThreeIslands.zip.html

I wasn′t able to test the map in a real mp game, so I would be really glad if someone could try it out on his/her server. Don′t forget to post your server′s ip.

So, I decided to try your map out on multiplayer with crash site mode cuz well, it's hard do mess up IA and TIA modes xD and here are some things I noticed:
* minimap isn't showing up
* now, I am not sure how you intended it but there is no drop ship and the crashed pod will stay in the same place all the time and there are these big red sparks always flying out of it.
* and it's a little too quiet, it felt kinda weird, I suggest you to add some ambient sounds
* I also suggest to add some support beams to the bridges, else it looks kinda fake
* I'm not sure if those raw files are useful, but maybe they are, haven't seen them on any other maps before though xD
* Also u could add some installing instructions with the zip file ;)

overall the crash mode works, you can get points by standing near the pod, the map is simple, I like it, and also the sun is in the appropriate place and I really like the water.

With a few tweaks it'll be quite fun I predict xD

Thanks for trying it out and for reporting those issues. I will try to fix them soon.

I hope that all the issues mentioned by IEQI are fixed now. Though somebody should try the new version on his server to verify this:

The dropship now works perfectly, bridge looks more real, good thing that you added grabable edges to them, minimap isn't showing but honestly there probably isn't any need for it, all it would show are three dark spots on a dark background xD Though I still suggest u add some ambient sounds. Overall nice map, keep up the good work xD

To be honest, I haven′t seen any custom map with a working minimap so far, and as you say, it doesn′t really make a difference if there isn′t one when there are only three islands. The ambient sound seems to be a more difficult issue. I added one, but unfortunately, it only plays for about 30 seconds or so and stops without repeting. I have to find a music enbtity with a loop function in order to solve this problem. Did you hear an ambient sound at the beginning of the mp match?

I had a lot of trouble making the minimap work also but in the end the best option for me was just to generate it, don't modify it and just move it to textures. I didn't notice any sound but it could have been muffled by the starting sounds and the pod dropping noise. Just make an area box or shape, link ambient volume entity to it and pretty much all the sounds in ambiences folder for every level are looping.

I had so much trouble with the minimap. I had to generate it, then download PAINT.NET for .dds files seeing as I couldnt get the photoshop nvidea plugin working, then I had to resize the image about 4 times then rotate it, so happy i finally got it working! :D Btw dunno if Cry-Adam's gonna be too happy with all the custom maps posts on gamesas? Isn't that why there is CryMod? xD

I actually wanted to post it on Crymod, but after registering, I never got an activation Email, so I will just post everything here until they sent me one xD How big is your minimap (i mean the resolution)?
I finally got the ambient sound working, now only the minimap is missing. Thanks for testing it on your server. I don′t know if I will be able to fix the minimap issue, but the map has been tested by IEQI and seems to work in MP.

Okay, I changed the size to 512x512. If that doesn′t work, I will just leave the Minimap out. Here is the new (hopefully final) version: http://www.file-upload.net/download-3587883/ThreeIslands.zip.html
I recommend you to try this version on the sith server.

My minimap story: a long time ago, when I was still young and stupid (still am stupid and it was three days ago) I clicked the generate minimap button with the resolution 1024. And behold three files were generated and my entire map turned almost black for some reason o.O and I had to reload it half the time when I generated the minimap but other times it just flashed black and turned normal again. Anyways I viewed the tif file and it was way too dark, kinda like my map after generating the map, like my sun just had shut down or smthing. So I read somewhere that if you change the tif file then dds file will automatically update, so I photoshopped it lighter and all was well in the world, minimap worked perfectly until I noticed that it was rotated 90 degrees in the wrong way -.- Then all kinds of new information flew in like I should make a new folders for loading screen and minimap, so I made them, generated the map again, this time I just took the tif image, photoshopped it lighter and converted it to dds but that screwed thing up even more now the minimap was all over the place, nowhere near where it should have been, then I started randomly converting and renaming and changing all the numbers in everywhere I could, behold!! it didn't work, only made things worse.
So in the end I was so sick of it that I just generated a new one, put all the files in the minimap folder and go figure, it worked.
the end.

xD You should make that story into a movie. My .dds wouldn't regenerate/create itself so I had to make on myself. :S And yeh I had to flip mine 90 degrees too! Lol. At least for future maps it shouldnt be so complicated. :P

As for the threeislands, ambient sounds work, the minimap is there but it's very very faint and not aligned correctly probably also around 90 degrees xD

90° in which direction? Should I turn it to the left or to the right?

Edit: http://www.file-upload.net/download-3588366/ThreeIslands12.zip.html
Try using those instead and tell me if it isn′t faint anymore.

Both minimaps are now clearly visible but wrongly orientated, I would say that try to rotate it 90 degrees counterclockwise though it appears to me that u need to rotate it around 50 degrees or so but that wouldn't make any sense cause it's a squared picture xD

Okay, turned it counterclockwise by 90°: http://www.file-upload.net/download-3589971/ThreeIslands3.zip.html
Thanks for helping me with the minimap :) Without an own server, I cannot see a minimap at all when loading any MP map in SP or Sandbox

Thank you for your help IEQI. Now I am finally able to release the final version:

Crytek should really start fixing this minimap generator, since I am not the only person who had to fight with this buggy tool to get a proper Minimap xD
