Hi All,

I have been starting to make my own maps on the sandbox, soon enough I would like to put them up on a dedicated server for all to use. I have a few questions though;

Can a custom map be RANKED?
To get a dedicated server to host the maps would I have to buy it or rent it? (or can I host ranked matches myself)
How much does a server cost to buy/rent?
Any company Recommendations for hosting?

I think they have to be custom but im not sure. There's a server called "Sith 24/7" they seem to be the one with the highest custom map rotation. Post pictures and a download link onto Crymod.net and PM war_spirit here so that he can have a look at it. GL.

I'm interested if you can host ranked servers with the dedicated server tool (just the regular maps).
Sv_ranked 1 doesn't seem to change it to ranked and the configuration is set on standard, not costume.

Thanks for the replys, what I have been reading is that the custom maps are UNRANKED. I am sure that the regular maps will be Ranked, but I am unsure how to get this set up. I will be getting my own server soon and i'll post anything that I think will help others trying to acheive the same thing
