So why does every child in Skyrim look identical?

Mod the children out with the exception of Babette.

How about we clean up their personalities first, I dont need more annoying little pricks talking down to me whever I go. Two kids are bad enough as it is right now.

That's why they had to die..

Mods will add kids of every kind.

At least Skyrim's kids are quite realistic in some ways: They're annoying, rude, demanding, they run everywhere, they refuse to go to bed, and they're absolutely useless except for eating treats and playing schoolyard games.

I just ignore them. There's so few of them in Skyrim to begin with, that it's easy.

Though I'm sad that there are only Nordic children. I was looking forward to seeing children from all different races.

I'm pretty sure it's Tolfdir. I've seen him.. yeah.. sneaking around his alchemy station in the night and staring awkwardly at defenceless females.

The children had me laughing so hard yesterday my chair almost fell over. I entered Solitude and a frost dragon appeared. After svcking up its soul I noticed all three children standing in a row. They were making comments like the guards usually do -- the funniest being, "in all my years I've never seen such a thing!" Oh really! In all your ten years! Sounds way too much like something I might have said when I was a kid.

Then I started talking to one of them and she said, "it's dead now, but where did it come from?" The only response available to me was, 'Sure, tag sounds like fun!" I liked that glitch. I also like how I did the quest for the other girl and now she always says, "you're the best! Will be my mother?" The quest was about making your mother better, silly!

Otherwise, I generally agree with everything here. Most of the children are annoying and seeing them run around town at 03:00 is nonsense.

My first reaction to the topic title was "inbreeding" but yeah it's kind of freaky. I would have loved to see small Khajit running along with the trade caravans, little Argonians on the docks, scruffy looking Dunmer kids in the Gray Quarter...

I completely agree with Dovak that their personalities is what bothers me most. There I stand summoned sword dripping with dragon blood and a Dremore Lord right next to me and some girl comes up to me and gives me slack...what the hell?!

I just figured it's another bug in skyrim that causes all the children to look the same. No?

Indeed, I'm tired of hearing 10-year olds saying I should "watch it" because they're "keeping an eye on me". What's up with Bethesda and cocky children? Is it all to mock us even more after (understandably) making children invincible?

Really, children should just run around playing, running away from the player if he's a criminal, or at the very least be kind of shy. It's Dovahkiin, darnit!

Children are second on my list for when I go into an innocent NPC murdering rampage. The first on my list is Heimskr.
