CRYTEK - Petition for PunkBuster.

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 7:34 pm

I, For one, Have had enough of these aimbotters and speed hackers in Crysis 2 and I think we, As Paying customers, Deserve a better anti cheat system than Crytek have provided us with.

Firstly, Punkbuster detects memory address alterations that are used in aimbots etc, so why is crytek using the old fashioned methods of *

*record the person in question
*note the Server name
*note the time and date
*note the playername
*wait for Crytek to do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

I want punkbuster on this game to weed out the Scumbags and play with genuine players and not some fat kid in his mothers basemant playing on a haxed Crysis 2 with a lamebot.

I may even contact Support about this and see what can be done regarding refunds etc, because this game in its current state is pathetic, And to see aimbotters from more than 3 MONTHS AGO is STILL playing online is a slap in the face to all of us.

PLUS, In a sense they are breaking their terms and conditions by not taking adequate measures in order to catch these "people"

In fact, Crytek are pretty much Dumping on us, Never mind a slap in the face.

Any of you agree? sign petition please!

I don't think that the CRYTEK will take this step, and even if they do, I don't think it actually helps a lot. But anyway it worth to try, because the current scope of cheating is unreal annoying.

I voted Maybe, because I don't really trust Punkbuster... But whatever catches the cheaters, I'm fine with it :)

I played 2142 for years and that was always Punkbuster protected - there were still cheaters in the game. Not huge amounts but you would see them from time to time.

The problem with Crysis 2 is not the amount of cheaters online right now, seems to be about the norm for most online FPS games, but the paranoia about cheaters that came about in the early days. When there were ridiculous amounts of cheaters in the game. The developers decision to release the game with seemingly no cheat protection at all was **** bizzare!

I voted maybe too. Use to play Q3 with it ... yes it bloated the play .. yes still saw hackers ... yes it had adware .... not sure how different it is these days. Bottom line i totally agree gizmo198128, very sad it lacks so much in protection.

Punkbuster's quite the opposite now, It does add slightly to the CPU load but It's very quick at banning memory address hacks, And just like VAC, If they are caught ( Which they usually are ) There usually is no reversing the bans and the bans stay.

Obviously there are the few and far between that slips through the net when a new aimbot gets released that isn't detected by punkbuster but they act pretty quickly in order to keep up to speed with them.

I would rather the odd one gets through, instead of Joining a server where more than one is in and nobody presses F1 to Votekick.
