Really?! Come on Bethesda!

Look Im not one of those haters that knitpicks at everything in the game....but! Why? Why couldn't you just leave the Oghma Infinitum glitch alone. Yes it DESTROYS the game.....but only if you chose to use it. I wanted the choice and you couldn't give me that much so.....thanks for screwin' another one of your fans. Oh man I don't usually get this upset.....I need to lie down or something. Still awesome game just....please don't do that again without letting us delete the update of we didn't want it.

What I read: Damnit, Bethesda, why won't you let me exploit your game in a way that I'm not supposed to? I can't play this game the normal way, why won't you let me cheat?

Bethesda could not care less if people cheat while playing Skyrim. I find it hilarious that anyone wastes even one second being concerned over others cheating in a single player game. They fixed a bug - probably nothing more to it. I'm sure they weren't trying to upset anyone but I see why having the option to have a super-god character being removed would make console players a wee bit cranky (this doesn't *really* impact PC players much, so I assume OP is playing on a console). Becoming as powerful as possible, even using exploits, is what is most fun for many many people in TES games.

Anyway, look at it this way - it was a bug, not a feature, it shouldn't have been there to start with.

But the thing is they've changed the coding for the saves so you can't play any of you're new saves after patch 1.2 without the update. Otherwise I'd already try that. Either way though might as well close this thread cause it's all okay now.

What was the glitch? Duplicating the book and gaining stupid amounts of levels instantly?

I say remove exploits that can be used to cheat and just leave the command console for those that want to cheat. Exploits can happen unintentionally.

I do not understand why people get upset at other people cheating/exploiting. WHY DOES IT MATTER?
