Make a Zelda Mod.!

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 7:28 am

Call me nerdy, but I would love to see a full-scale Zelda mod eventually come out for Skyrim. I put together these clothes and character and made a little video just to imagine the possibility.

Ideally, since all of the make Wood Elfs look old, someone would need to model the face. The female Wood Elf has a preset which is perfect but unfortunately the clothes change and we can't have Link walking around like a gay man.

Please, when the mod kit comes out, someone get started on this right away.

So do you just want a character who looks like Link, or what?

Cool idea, but it would take forever to do.

I would be totally cool with more puzzles and adventure game elements. Nothing wrong with a little puzzle solving.

Making it a full Zelda game would be a bit too much.

If you are looking for a total conversion mod,I think it would be very hard for one to come out.
But I'm sure that by the time Zelda-themed mods will pop up.
Some clothes,some weapons/shields...

I for once am available to write stories for quests and do some scripting with the Creation kit after it comes out.
But it would take a team with many people,to do 3d modelling,texturing,animations..

I have been thinking the same thing, just with the 8-bit Zelda. It wouldn't be too hard. It's the details that would make it great and difficult. I haven't yet figured out the boomerang and the bomb would probably be kinda hard. Hookshot would take some creative scripting. Everything else seems rather doable. Better with a volunteer graphics team. Once the kit is released, take few weeks to get warmed up to it. I made a "tutorial island" on oblivion forever ago to get used to the CK. Do something like that to warm up and go back to it when ever you have an idea you want to test the functionality.
