Questions about Sideways Cave

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 6:15 am

I have two questions about ‘Sideways Cave’.

At the entrance to the ‘Hidden Lake’ there are 3 sections of the cave wall that show a ‘hand’ symbol if targeted; as if they have a function.
Does anyone know anything about them?

In the ‘Hidden Lake’ area there is an upper tier or gallery area that I cannot find a way to access.
Does anyone know is that upper gallery area accessible?

(playing vanilla)

Thanks :)

You'll find an entrance to an Ayleid ruin down there. The upper area is the secondary way out of that. I don't know why you'd get the hand symbol on the walls, though. There aren't any hidden doors or anything around the lake area, the main door into the ruin is very obvious.

Hi ghastley
Yes I know the Ayleid ruin and the exit you mean.
That is not the area I'm referring to. When you exit the ruin there is another tier above that which I cannot find a way to access.
You can see it clearly at the entrance to the Ayleid ruin; above the doorway where the water is falling from.

The top is only accessible with extreme acrobatics. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Sideways_Cave

Yes, I have tried running/jumping up that root.
So I guess there is nothing up there.
Cheers :)

TCL (console command: short for Toggle Collision) will get you up there if you're on PC, and you want to look around.
