Questions Regaridng Steam Client And Mods

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 11:42 am

I saw Steam's having a mega deal on the TES pack today and I'm debating picking it up; if only to stop ruining my discs, then a year later buying new ones. As I've done twice now. Call me lazy, but whatever.

However, I've never used mods with Steam before. Let alone 2 games as heavily modded as Morrowind and Oblivion.

How does it work?

I imagine there's no Data Files folder?

I know D2D has problems with some things like OBSE... Does any Oblivion (Or Morrowind) 3P Mod Utilities (OBMM, Wrye Bash, OBSE, et al) NOT work with the steam client?

They will work just fine, so long as you follow the directions for each of the utilities when running on Steam.

The Steam developers were gracious enough to help the OBSE/FOSE/NVSE team adapt to the Steam version. So yes, script extenders are fully functional with Steam versions of Oblivion.
