I hope it's NV related, but that's probably just because of the press event going on that makes me want to hear something. More than likely, like 95% likely, it's a spoof by our "friends" at DaC.

I've got to defend Duck and Cover here (hey, there's a first time for everything). If this turns out to be fake, which it likely will be, this wasn't a hoax, and it wasn't an attempt to piss of Fallout 3 fans. DaC simply posted about this countdown on their website, calling it "mysterious" even though it was hosted on their own website, a fact that they obviously knew. That's it. They didn't claim it to be anything else. Hell, they didn't even bother hosting it on another website to make you think it was actually "mysterious," and a quick alteration in the URL of the countdown leads right to their site. You guys seeing it and suddenly assuming it had something to do with New Vegas was all your doing, not theirs. So if this turns out to be fake, don't go complaining about DaC making a fake countdown, you were the ones who blew it completely out of proportion, and it'll be your own fault.

Haha, Duck and Cover.. I have nothing against them.. and even if it says 'Leaving New Vegas' and it turns out its a fake..

Ok, the timer has expired now and all that happens is a lot of images flashing by really fast in the PipBoy, like the "Please Stand By" image, the picture of a T51-b helmet, a cartoon mouse by a mouse trap, a country, 50's progaganda, Uncle Sam, the radiation warning sign, a nuclear cloud, the lone wanderer etc etc... also the title of the page has changed to "STAND BY FOR TRANSMISSION"

So, as expected, it wasn't anything important or any new information. Just a website with fake images and fake trailers. With plenty of pictures of Fallout 3 with nvde mods for all you pre-teens out there to oogle over.

Well this entire thread makes me sufficiently embarrased to be a Fallout 3 fan. It doesn't even matter that the countdown wasn't real, but the fact FO3 fans actually believed it...
