Only having a bit of fun

I gave up Drink/Drugs/Women/Life years ago, now waiting for news on Fallout 5 is what I've become....

What a coincedence! I gave up drink, drugs, friends and my life two years ago, now my girlfriend and video games have became my life.

I went home with the gal, but when we went to bed she said "Sorry, I'm not in the mood after taking that arrow to the knee", and I was sad.

Why do that if I know I'm just going to think "Never again" afterwords, meaning I was not happy with it? I don't want to get stuck in a spiral of addiction to nights I can't remember, and have a headache after.

I've done some pretty reckless stuff I don't remember in my day. Usually somebody can remind you. For instance, I was at a bar that was doing a Girls Gone Wild night. I got really, really blitzed, and tried to talk some girls OUT of going wild.

Dumb at the time. Funny now.

That was a fun last-Saturday.

I think it would be nice to be able to save my progress at work, go home play Skyrim as much as I wanted and then go back and reluctantly load my work save.

Just transfer your saves on a flash drive

Also, I find that some of my favorite times are when I'm drinking alone and playing video games. And I can't stand loud bars. They haven't played good music since the 30's and 40's when live jazz was popular. And as a musician, even if I hate the music, it gets all of my attention since I feel like I have to listen to it to critique it. So meeting a one-night-stand is out of the question :shrug:

Also, my girlfriend is wayyyyy to good of a cook to cheat on. There's ribs cooking at my house as we speak. You don't do anything to ruin that.

That sounds terrible. If we're going to suggest people go out and do something, can't it at least be something a bit less unpleasant and self-destructive? If you have to choose between playing games all day and following this advice, you're much better off staying in. ;D
