improving gear

Hi, heres my problem, when I try to enhance my gear to give more def or more attack with the forge my item are like grey and I just cannot improve them. I got all the stuff needed to do it but yet I cannot. Maybe its my forge skills that isnt high enough? I doubt it cause ive done it before ><. Maybe its cause my gear is enchanted? Idk. When I try to do it theres something very very very small that appear in the corner of my tv but I cannot read it. Plz help me. Tyvm ^^

I would guess the items are enchanted. you can check this by looking at it in your inventory and seeing if an enchant is on them.

ok is there a way to unenchant it without destroying my sword?

Not that I know of. If you want to upgrade it you'll need to get 60 in smithing and get the arcane smithing perk.

No theres not. But once you get your smithing up you can improve enchanted items, GL adventurer

You can not Smith or Improve Enchanted Weapons/Armor until you get the Arcane Enchanting Perk.


And, you can not un-enchant something without destroying it. If the swords has a high level spell on it, then peruse the shop keepers for a cheaper low level enchanted item to learn from.

alright tyvm guys, so for the next time I guess ill try to sharpen my sword before enchanting it
