I've been playing Skyrim offline just to avoid downloading the stupid patch. ( I'm on 360, btw ) Well earlier I was in the mood to kill some dragons because the past few days I've been playing on a save where dragons haven't spawned in the story yet. So I try to load the save only to get the message "this save was made on a earlier version of Skyrim, please update." And it's on ALL my saved characters, what the hell? So now I'm going to be forced to download this [censored] patch just to play the game, which I shouldn't have to require a patch or internet connection at all to play. This is [censored].
You are a poor guy then, just like me. I have not had ANY bugs before I installed this latest patch. Guess what, I had about 10 bugs just the day the patch was released, and it got worse until now. (I'm on PC though)

/rant.
Are you sure you didn't download the patch? This has only been reported by those that have thus far. Unless it's referencing the patch that came out on release day.
Sounds like your cache file is corrupted and the game has reverted to 1.0 as that is the only version to notify of save issues. Check out http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1298293-want-patch-11-back-this-might-work/ for details on how to download and install the 1.1 patch again.
