Why is this not an Achievement?!

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 12:59 am

Why on earth did they not make a achievement for collecting all 8 Dragon Priest Masks? That would have been cool..challenging and rewarding. Ahwell, will have to find someone to marry instead. Which i guess is challenging and rewarding in itself, if you catch my drift :)

Do you need an achievement to do it? No. Just collect them anyway. Who cares if there is an achievement or not.

Thats not the point young sir, I have collected them all. Im just saying, it would of been cool if there was an achievement for it to. I like getting achievments. especially hard ones.

Figure you deserve a nontroll response since it's a valid question. Probably got overlooked. Considering there are 50 achievements and some are for various things you do by accident it would make sense that this would be one.

Coming up from behind someone with my big weapon and sticking it in them doesn't count? aw man.

Your post made it sound like you needed an achievement to do it. You said it would be challenging and rewarding. My point was its challenging and rewarding without the achievement. Anyways I do agree though , it would make sense for it to be an achievement.

My personal opinion about "achievements" aside, i feel the OP has a point.
To collect all 8 of those masks DOES seem like an obvious candidat for that.

because achievements arent achievements. they are bleeps you get when you progress through the game. most of them arent challenges, just glorified "x of y" quests or for basic questline progress. i actually much prefer challenges like getting all the dragon masks (they are x of y, but they have an in-game reward and involve boss fights) not being tied to the achievement system, because it feels like you actually did something special rather than exactly what the devs devised as a bleep for you to unlock.

I don't get the steam achievements.
There's no actual reward and not even any epeen since literally no one cares, nor do I even know anyone on steam

Depends if you do it in Skyrim, or in real life. :P
