A great dragon battle emerged in Riverwood. Many guards lost their lives, aswell as a great hero - Alvor the Blacksmith.

Many a time i sold my goods to him, and he was always happy to welcome newcomers, and show them a little smithing in the process.
So here, he is laid to rest where he was most comfortable, in his shop area with his Warhammer. And that is where he shall remain.

(In all seriousness, when i found him after the dragon attack i got a bit choked up. I was like.. woah, its a game but i cant help it)

I lost Alvor and Faendal in a dragon battle. I left their bodies near the forge but they were stinking up the village so I threw them in the river. They're Whiterun's problem now.

Ha Faendal died heroically trying to protect me (not even my companion at the time) when hired thugs attacked me.

It is really hard to check the cloaca before their sole is stolen. I do not advise trying while they still live. That's why there is no Steve Erwin NPC anymore.

It must be a blacksmith thing - it happened to Adrianne in mine. She's in a coffin in the Hall of Dead now, but was left lying outside by the forge for ages. I went and asked her husband who makes the weapons and armour, and he said he has to buy them from Khajiit, since Adrianne's death. While her corpse was still lying there. I hadn't worked out how to move corpses by then, or I'd have put her somewhere better.

Curious, does his wife or kid even know he's dead?

Aye, i couldn't safe Alvor either.
I'm not even sure the beast got him.
More likely he threw an iron ingot after the airborne dragon, hitting him square on the head when falling back down to earth.
What a way to go.....

Good riddance. Jerk sent some hitmen after me when I stole all his ingots. I'm gonna marry his wife and make his kid do all the smithing whike i sut around and dtink mead.

That annoys me the most about Skyrim I think. I mean it's fair enough when you kill them yourself, but when a dragon kills them it's just like... I lost a merchant for no reason

In my game Alvor died after accidentally stepping backwards and impaling himself on my blade.
