I FIXED SKYRIM!

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 11:50 pm

everyone complains how easy these game becomes as you progress.

i created an absolutely positively brilliant and original idea!

my character NORD level 29: primary: dual one handed (level 84) mace and sword (right hand) and archery (level 62) and heavy armor (69)

my problem was that i was one hitting EVERYONE with dual power attacks

solution? i am now sporting the very fashionable imperial armor (captains helmet rules!) with a steel mace and imperial sword (not enchanted)
the imperial braces and boots are enchanted 21% to one handed attacks

now i take significantly more damage, one hit kill the average people, and "BOSS" fights require wit and tactics once again

NOTE: THIS IS TO ENHANCE REALISM
hope this helps!

Good idea OP.....

But gameplay wise it is pretty messed up we have to downgrade or character's armor and weapons just to make it a challenge. Now what is the point of smithing and enchanting anything really.

You didn't complain about how broken the game is and how overpowered being a high leveled-character with high-tier gear is.

Generally on the forums right now, the way it goes is the game is either so easy you can play it on Master with one hand after grinding out various skills and exploiting certain mechanics in crafting gear, or the game is just fine because you're playing it normally.

Gee, I'm going to make the best equipment possible then be shocked when I have such an easy time with the game.

Are people really that unable to connect the dots?

thats just it tho. i didn't obsess over enchanting over smithing

my enchanting is high because i was already over powered with only a high one handed and hheavy armor skill
so i planned ahead enachnted my one handed to a godly level, then degraded the armor i used.

i don't even smith

oh.. and that's how oblivion and Morrowind was... idiot

Yeah I like alot of the different armor sets, even the lower ones. Right now I am decked out in Legendary Glass Armor and I like it better then the Ebony Armor. Even though I have my Housecarl Sword Maiden in all Ebony with an enchanted Blades sword.

That's exactly how I'm going to handle the situation. Once my character is to powerfull, I'm going to retire! I will store all my precious armor in my home in Whiterun, put on a robe or other common clothes, take my hunting bow and go out. Just leave all the troubles behind and have a good time! It's going to be really nice!

The problem is: I think I'll have to save the world before can start my plan! ;-)

i really like the fur gauntlets, leather armor and iron armor from OB

iron and steel, and imperial captain helmets rule in skyrim!
the steel plated armor is godly, but that's a problem for me. whenever i go into third person. i think "wow i look like a royal elite knight, the kind of knight people have nightmares about"

In Morrowind at lvl 25+ you could remove your weapons and armor and faceroll Golden Saints. If you ever enchanted any item, it would become tgm. And that's without even exploiting alchemy to have billions of HP and Magicka.

But still in Skyrim when your character is at the top of the possibility that were designed on purpose, the scaled content isn't at the height. Either they designed the character skills and perks to go too high, or they designed the scaled content to go too low. Basically having better gear earlier should help but the difficulty would catch up when taking levels. Like Khajiit claws : it's a huge power at the beginning of the game, it helps a lot, but it doesn't last to the end. I think it's a good comparison because to simplify, Khajiit claws are "good gear" that you get early, like one would have by raising crafting skills first.
