Tamriel races and their real-world counterparts

So, correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to me that each race in TES lore gets some of its cultural influence from real regions on Earth. Some of these are pretty obvious, like:

Cyrodil/Imperials - Romans
Skyrim/Nords - Vikings/Norse
Hammerfell/Redguards - Arabic

And some I've read around the boards to correspond to these cultures:

Summerset Isles/Altmer - Greeks
High Rock/Bretons - Irish/Celtic
Elsweyr/Khajiit - African/Egyptian

Which leaves me wondering, what of the other races?

Valenwood/Bosmer - There are lots of forested areas, could it relate to maybe South America/Amazonia?
Black Marsh/Argonians - Often described as an alien landscape, would this even have a cultural connection?
Morrowind/Dunmer - Again, most often described as an alien world, wondering the same thing as the Argonians.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this, or if there is anyone more well-versed in the lore than I, to shed some light on this fascinating subject. Thanks!
