crysis 2 advanced graphics options tool (mod) questions

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 12:52 am

ok ive been experimenting with the application for a few days now and i have a few questions that i cant find an answer for simply because i dont know how the app works in depth.

1. if you apply custom graphics with the app and then change the graphics with the normal graphics settings in game, will the change effect modifications from the app like the max FPS, MSAA, edge AA, and HDR/Bloom levels?

2. how does the numbers that you imput in the FoV sections affect the graphics?

3. does your PCs max FPS affect or puts a limit on the max fps option in the game or if you put more FPS that your PC can handle will it slow down or cause blur/screen lag?

4. does the sound setting do anything at all?

5. what is radial blur?

6. if you dont have multiple graphics cards on ur PC and you apply the multi gpu option will it lower your
games performance? and how do you know if your pc has multiple gfx cards?

7. does mouse smoothing and sound hit feedback do anything at all?

8. what does post processing mean?

if you have an answer for any of these questions please answer them for me i would really appreciate it just place the number of what question your answering before the start of the sentence .

Thank You! :)

Post processing effects are like HDR, colour grading, Post MSAA, Bloom. Radial blur is more likely for the motion blur, like when you die the screen blurs as you twist around or a hit effect.

Max fps is just a way of getting consistent frame rates and it does work better for people, because you don't get big frame rate drops while playing. This is why game developers put frame rate locks on.
