Making a clone character...

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 2:22 am

Ok, so I realized that the first character I made had sooooo many issues. She had numerous quest item bugs, perk points in bad places and some other problems. Therefore I decided that I wanted to remake her and do it right this time. I loved the way my character looked so I took a ton of pictures of her model so I could re-produce it... It turns out that it's harder than it looks.

Ive tried like.... 10 separate times (a lot when you have to sit through all the opening crap just to get a good idea of what they'll look like) to make her look the same.

And I Cant-Frieking-Do it. I get close, but then something else is off. I try settling for less and then it bugs the crap out of me. I can get the right eyes, nose, mouth, eyebrows and colors but it's the little measurements that make it impossible. I cant win.

Im very picky about character looks so this is driving me insane.

I guess I wrote this thread because I *had* to let it out before I tried it again... tomorrow morning T.T...

This is a picture of how she looked:

So do with this what you will. Thanks.

I have made the same wood elf face about 4 times over now. It's really not that hard if you simply remember which changes you made. It is far easier to duplicate character creation changes in Skyrim than it is in Oblivion. Sorry for your loss and good luck on the next attempt.

But, all you have to do is just remember which selections you made. write it down or take a picture if you have to.

It has little to do with your predicament, but on the topic of clones and ES, you could make a command clone of yourself in vanilla Oblivion.

I took a *lot* of pictures from different angles. Ive basically memorized a lot of the choices. The problem with remembering for this particular character is that I used her for 172 hours without making a single other character. I cant remember a lot of the values from way back then. It's always the cheekbones or the jaw or mouth that bug the crap outa me o.o;;.

Thanks for you post.
