Weapon Texture glitch?

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 3:39 am

It ran everything just fine, until one of the checkpoint that the transmission said something like EVAC 15 min blablabla... and here began the textures messed up...

I reloaded a previous save and it's fine but when I pass this evil checkpoint and again the textures couldn't hold it

It's DX9 tho, and when I switched to DX11, it's back to normal
So here's what it looks like...

Anyone else got the same problem? Is there a way to fix that without switching to DX11?

My machine's spec:
Intel i7-950
GTX580 3GB
6GB DDR3
Win 7 Home Premium 64bit SP1

What do you have your "anti-aliasing" set at in your nVidia graphics card control panel? If set @ 32x, turn it down....

Yep, this bug is well-known since patch 1.9 (or nvidia-drivers 275.33)....I also found only one way around it: playing in DX11....which leads to random crashes for me...I have the normal game settings, nothing forced via the driver...

I run the game in DX11, no problems, but there is once place where the alien suits turn black. Then in the next part of the game, they're back to normal.

well I temporarily set DX11 for a few check points, and tried DX9 again after that, it runs fine now. Looks like only that particular check point to trigger that glitch

no glitch, crytek did this on purpose, its special camoflauge, instantly adapt to your surroundings.

They make only the weapon camoflauge, so when enemies see you with no weapon and hope they think you as a civilian? O.o
