Which version of tes4lodgen is safe to use?

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 9:31 am

I've never used TES4LODGen.
I installed a bunch of landscape and city mods recently and would like them to appear in my LOD so they stop just popping out of no where.
But I'm not sure which to use~

3.0.15 is the latest stable release.

Don't worry about the EXPERIMENTAL text, it's about as bug free as you can get.

The most recent comment on Nexus about that version was someone complaining that, that version had "boned" him and he had to reinstall :o

Then that person doesn't know what they're doing. 3.0.15 is stable and safe.

So, I didn't see a Readme for TES4LODGen, but it said in the description that you should use HDR, because if you use Bloom, then LOD stuff can look black at certain angles. I observed this, so I switched from Bloom to HDR.
But then I noticed that while in HDR, the LOD items looked yellow at certain angles, rather than black, and rather than staying the same color.
Is this normal?

Yes, it means that somewhere in your load order, a mod has unclean VWD meshes. Narrowing it down to a specific set can be tough though.

Raaaats.
I guess I should just switch it back to Bloom then and just deal with it. The game looks better with 8x AA. Can't stand those little jaggies.
I rarely go flying this high when I'm just playing the game anyway.
