Argis went AWOL

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 5:21 pm

I apologize ahead of time if this was already covered plenty of times before, but after I explored some Drawrven Ruin, I told Argis to part ways with me. It's been a couple "game" days and he hasn't showed up at my Markarth house. I wouldn't be so pissed because I can pretty much take care of myself and actually wander on my own a lot, but I gave the guy some really decked out Daedric Armor replete with enchants along with some daedric weapons and a lot of loot from that mission. Will he ever show up again, or did he run off with my stuff and shack up with some eleven hoe in some remote log cabin somewhere? I feel like going all Dark Brotherhood on his ass right now.

Well if he has full Daedric he'll probably be okay unless he was really unlucky, otherwise I suggest walking the path he would have taken from where you dismissed him, to Markarth and see if you can find a body or something.

Thanks, I'll give that a shot, but DAMN! I'm pretty sure he disappeared on the other side of the map. Oh well, at least I have Shadowmere to make that go faster.

I wish I could, but I'm playing it on the Xbox.

I have a general question then... When you dismiss your followers, they can be killed on the way back home?

I'm pretty sure followers can't be killed on the way home, since they can't be killed in combat unless you deal the final blow. He most likely got stuck or is bugged. Try waiting IN your home for a few days.

That's what I thought too. The thing is I don't feel like waiting in my home a few days. Kinda spoils the immersion for me since part of the draw of this game is that it feels so real, and I don't think in real life I'd hold a vigil for my missing housecarl. Oh well...

If I can't find him I'll try and go back and find Mjoll and marry her. That way, I have all chicks in my houses. :-)

Pimpin' ain't easy...
