there was actually a lot of variety between them there were even armless ones, but what I cant understand is why they never used the zombie head that was missing the jaw

The Oblivion zombies freaked me out, especially the sounds and the thought of not knowing where they are... :cryvaultboy: But they looked awful. I really don't hope that Draugr replace the zombies thought, they just need a serious revamp.

Agreed but i dont think they looked awful, maybe on low settings they did, but max settings they seemed pretty grose :cryvaultboy: i am hopeful that they are still in~ there seems to be ALOT more creature variety in Skyrim :tes:

Indeed, I agree the zombies were too generic in Oblivion. And let's face it, having next to no variation takes away their individuality--just because they're re-animated dead bodies doesn't mean they shouldn't look different. Zombies were people, too! :poke:

I would like to see not only different races of zombies but different stages of decay, like seeing a person that you killed a week ago appear in a nearby Necro cave (presumably dug up by the necromancers)
with little to no decay, make for some good radiant story quests... maybe I'm asking a little much

You sir just filled my heart with tons of hope, along with the poster who stated something about the different zombies noises, awesome.

no offense, but this poll is kind of like saying "would you like more enemies variations to fight or less? Yes or no?" Its kind of an obvious choice, to me atleast. :flamethrower: :flamed: :prod:

I love zombies so I don't mind as long as they're in. I thought Oblivion zombies were great, but different race zombies would be awesome but you can't have everything so I won't be fussed if they're just slightly improved Oblvion zombies.

Just have to chime in to ruin this thread. I'd like to see zombies like in Oblivion again, but that's it.

This. If someone has already made zombies different, fine. I can't change what time has been put into what already. I think there are more important things between now and the release than making sure different types of zombies exist.

I'll admit, bethesda makes some pretty creepy zombie like monsters like the ghouls from fallout 3 (I still don't like going down in the metro's with them running around O_O ) so I would like to see what they will do with the durger's in skyrim and how they work and attack.^_^

Well, it's probably for the best. I was pretty sure something bad was going to happen if that many people agreed in one single thread. Who knows, maybe even a http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lj7HMhIIAYU.

The whole raising dead thing would be even more awesome without ashpiles falling and staying everywhere they land forever.

no, please. adding zombies to a game is getting ridiculous, though I must say that in a game like Skyrim they wouldn't be so far-fetched. But now it seems like just about every game says "let's add some zombies!" and they're fun for about five minutes. and they keep showing up where they don't really belong, imo (COD, Red Dead Redemption, etc.).

You do know zombies have been a part of TES since Arena, right?

Eh, they were a fun/silly/fun bonus or add on in those games, not a normal game enemy or whatever. Zombies and things like that have featured frequently in TES games though, and many RPG fantasies in general - they are a classic monster type and make sense in games with necromancers and raising of the dead.
