The music of skyrim is epic and all, in fact I love it. I like playing it loud and making my fight scenes feel epic. But when I am talking to a person I actually want to able to hear said person speak instead of listening to priests chanting and loud drums. Wouldn't make sense too automatically make the game turn down the music while talking?

That's actually a pretty good idea, and being a game programmer, not hard to implement.
I would hope to see it in patch 1.3.

I have trouble hearing speech due to an auditory processing problem so I play with subtitles turned on, but I love the music, this is one of the few games where I haven't turned the music off. But you know in the audio settings you can change the volume of music, ambient sounds, dialogue etc individually right? So it might just be worth tinkering with those settings to get it to your liking, turning some of those sounds to lowest volume if you;d prefer it that way.

I have, but I feel as if that's besides the point. Why should I have to continue going back and forth between the settings screen to up/down the music volume while playing? I mean is there anyone who wants to have music blaring the speakers voice out?

i like the music but i turn my off i listened to it for the first couple hours i played so i could hear it all then off it goes

I turned all the music way down. When sneaking through a dungeon ideally you arent wearing a walkman jamming soundtrack music.
