Remove/Hide stats?

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 7:55 pm

Hi, is there a way to prevent a site like c2stats from listing your stats?
I'm currently trying to contact the admin there so hopefully there's a way.
Thanks for reading, cheers.

you can play on unranked servers? I tend to wonder why you want to hide your stats?

Personally I think there are more benefits for legit players from not being able to hide stats.

His Zerohp user name doesn't have an ingame profile attached ;) but I didn't want to say that.

They don't seem to have a lot of players though.

I show my stats in games to those that I want to share with, and that also includes videos of my gameplay. I sort of dislike having no choice in the matter.

Official stat handling is fine to me, it doesn't seem to blatantly log in detail. C2stats and etc records during each check, keeps weird history for things, and gets cached in search sites. You can look during what day and time someone plays, sites have listed what servers you use, and games you may not want to be known can be found by searching for your name in Google. I'm sort of glad there seems to be other "zerohp" during a Google search I did just now.

A sort of presentation was made on how anonymity is being rather undervalued on the internet. People are sharing their names, locations, etc like drones for public access. It's even worse when this is done automatically by things you use.
