Companion Command "stay"

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 10:21 am

Hi All

Its annoying when I order my companion to stay and he attacks enemies anyway. I like my companion to stay behind, during i am attacking the enemy from far with my bow. But if the enemy recognized my attack, my companion starts to attack the enemy.
Is there a trick ?

Try putting your follower in an area where he/she cannot hear the enemy. Just roughly estimate the distance.

I asked Lydia to stay on one side of the swinging axes in a tunnel area so she wouldn't get hurt. I used Whirlwind Sprint to get through the axes and immediately was attacked by a boss-level draugr. I was desperately trying to find the switch to turn the axes off while being hit from behind and I don't know how she got through but I was really glad she did. She's sworn to defend me with her life and she sure did; I wouldn't have beat them all if she hadn't ignored me. That's the only situation so far where she has ignored me though. On your situation, I haven't played like that yet.
