Taking opposition forts = oblivion gates

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 11:15 pm

Does anyone feel like the quests to take enemy forts in the civil war are really dull. They sort of feel like the mundane similar to oblivion gates. The first few times it was fun but after that it's really dull. Surely they could have done other ways to take a hold I.e more financial sanctions, more troop recruitment sanctions. Anyone else feel like this?

Not really, oblivion gates were more capture the shiny object at the top of the tower, where forts are more like cage matches you throw two things in and see which one comes out alive.

Oh. my. god. no.

Dragons are the new cliffracers. Enemy forts are the new oblivion gates. Cabbages are the new slaughterfish scales. Falmer are the new goblins. Thalmor are the New Kids on the Block.

just stop

It's just my opinion you know. There are faults with this game that I adore so much. You can admit somethings are lacking and I feel civil war is the main one.

Considering Oblivion gates were usually long quests involving repeatedly running up a tower to get a magical bowling ball I'm going to say no. I enjoy the forts, it is optional and not forced upon you like the gates.

We can admit faults, however picking faults where there aren't any is different. It is your opinion, we can disagree you know.

I understand what your saying I suppose they're not as bad as oblivion gates, I suppose I was just expressing my disappointment at the mundane fort taking quests.

I didn't find them anywhere near as annoying as Oblivion gates,. As a blade and shield Nord I enjoyed cutting off the heads of the enemy, shouting "Die Imperial Scum" as I did so and Fus Ro Dah'ing them off the ramparts. Besides there are not that many encounters in the questline, whereas Oblivion gates were frequent annoyances. But I guess more variety in that questline would have been a good thing, for example more scheming/speech related quests.
