What is your AWE inspiring moments in Skyrim? For me the most AWE inspiring moments in Skyrim for me, is after a certian "quest" it brought me to the city of Markarth. I haven't even been to that side of the province yet and when I saw it for the first time, I was like "WOW, just amazing" for a city. It was something completely different and unexpected.

Seeing Solitude from the bottome of the city I thought it was going to be awsome (so I was awed) but when finally getting into the city I was a bit disapointed since I couldn't really see, or feel I was on a cliff side of a mountian. Just flet like a normal city, nothing special. Would have been great if traveling "the bridge" section you can really see far out. Maybe I just missed it, so will keep an eye out for it again next time I am there.

So what are your AWE inspriing moments in Skyrim and was disapointing for you wich you thought was going to be great or awe inspiring?

I've only been playing for 11 hours, so I'm well aware that there'll be a lot better choices out there, but, at the moment, I'd have to say the view from the top of White River Watch is very very impressive. A real, 'stop for a minute and take in the view' moment. As to disappointments? No, not really. I'd like to make apple pie (instead of the decidedly dodgy-sounding Apple Cabbage Stew!), but that's about it for me.

It's a lovely, beautiful utterly absorbing game (and world) so far.

Indeed, I had the same quest bring to me Markarth. Seeing it from the top as the start was great.

But when I first got out of Helgen and got to the river, amazing.

Blackreach. That was my first awe-inspiring moment, to see such a place buried deep underneath a Dwemer ruin. It looked very alien and trippy, and the enormous glowing mushrooms added to the ambience :]

This morning, I had my second moment, though it was more of a WTF? kind of moment. I entered a place called Shimmermist Cave and after the initial cave section, it opened into part of a Dwemer ruin but then exited back out into the first area. It was incredibly random and unexpected, which I guess is why it stuck out to me.

Those water effects are rather special, aren't they?
