SO IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET VIRUS AND GET ACCOUNT HACKED THROUGH PLAYING CUSTOM MAPS AND UNRANKED SERVERS

IT'S KNOWN RISK AND FACT RIGHT?

It's possible, but it's very unlikely! If you did not run any additional application ( installer of the custom maps, an application that was part of the custom map, ... ) then it's almost impossible that there could be a virus!

You won't get a virus from just playing on unranked servers and using custom maps. I'm not saying that it's impossible but you'd have to find a security hole in crysis 2 and get your code to be executed via code injection. It's kinda like the jailbreak for iPhones and I don't think someone would do all that work just for a virus!

You say it's known fact? Could you tell me which server or map has a virus in it?

Assuming you played with maps from Crymod, I'd remove this statement as it makes you sound like an idiot.

It's silly to blame the modding community who do nothing but try to bring us cool maps and mods to play with because you probably can't keep your account details secure or decided to hack or whatever else caused your problem..

Note there's no virus reports over at crymod, you'd think everyone would be reporting if there were a virus in a map or mod.

To both of you, thanks for clarifying. I wasn't meant to blindly blame mod community that is not my purpose at all.

I played in "Crysis 2" (this is a server name) server and I think it's unranked, not moderated.
Maps I played there were all official maps, no custom maps.

I do copy and pasted custome sith maps on crysis 2 folder.
Though I played them only twice in sith "Empty" unranked server.

I never had this auto reset to level 7 incident before, I have been playing this game since the release date till now, as I mainly played in DDD server to avoid cheaters/ hackers.

Then I played in "crysis 2" unranked server for several hours, and bam! I got rebooted.

Plus, If I am using comodo internet security program....:D can I pre emptively block this virus' attempt to inject into crysis 2 exec file? { I made comodo to block and pop up when illegitimate files ( files not digitally signed by legitimate organisation) tryies to inject into legitimate files or hook them } or hook them?

or can this virus file just bypass security measure and bypass crysis 2's security? measure?
( I am not code knowledgeable but just use security apps to avoid incidents as much as possible)

Its more likely a glitch with playing on any unranked servers or switching your single player profile. They aren't talking about digitally signed files, they are talking about code injection into exe files, virus scans detect via heuristics.

If you have rebooted once before, then if you can be affected by the auto reboot glitch from what i've heard.

Even though I never heard of that anti virus software you are using, I still think it would at least warn you if there was a virus or any suspicious application. If the only evidence you have is that you got rebooted then you can be sure that there is no virus!
Crysis 2 is bugged and random reboots are nothing special, they happen from time to time LOL

Oh and BTW: SiTH custom maps definitely don't have a virus!

It could possibly happen but I don't really think it's likely

Once I was playing RA3, my web browser was open in the background and one of the ads on a webpage must've been a malvert because suddenly my game minimized (I thought it crashed) and "Antivir Solution Pro" was scanning my PC and giving me fake virus alerts... so maybe it's that happening

If that's what you're thinking then so be it.

You're a talker not gamer.

You just love to troll around with your comments without any substances don't you?
