Some questions from a beginner

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 7:59 pm

Hi,
Just started playing and I have a few questions.

1. Every item has a value. What does the value mean?
2. How can you check that a poison is on your weapon?
3. When you level up and you increase your magica, stamina or health does the bar for each item get bigger?
Thanks!

I assumed the value is how much you get for selling it. When you level up, the bar remains the same length, it just looks like your taking less damage because you have more health points. #2, I don't know, to this point I don't really put anything on my weapons.

1. Value means sale price.
2. Poison is on your weapon for one hit after you apply it.
3. I don't think the bar gets bigger.

1) The maximum amount of money you'll get for selling and Item(dependant of speechcraft. if someoneone doesn't like you it will sell for less}
2) Not that i know of but if you have poisoned it already it will tell you whats allready been applied.
3) No. It will just decrease accordingly when damage is taken or when magica and stamina hav been used.

Hit the P key on your keyboard, scroll down, this will show all active magic in effects.

1. Value is the price an item is worth. The higher value an item has the more it will cost to buy it and the more you will gain from selling it. The Speech skill allows you to get better buy/sell prices.

2. I'm not sure if there is a way to confirm that a poison is on your weapon but it should be applied immediately after selecting it in the menu.

3. The bars do not get bigger. They are a percentage based representation of your health, stamina and magicka.

You can see a poison icon when you look at a poisoned weapon in inventory.

1. The base value. When selling/buying it will change because of your speach skill/perks/disposition
2.1 hit unless the poison says so
3. No

A poisoned weapon will have a green swirly thing on it when you look at it in your inventory.

The value is just like it sounds...the value if the item. However buy and sell prices vary based on your speechcraft skill.

You can tell if a weapon has poison on it by going into magic then active effects.

No it stays the same
