Conjuration will go up from casting soul trap on a dead draugr. It might work on other dead things too. I accidentally cast it on one thinking it was raise zombie and my skill raised.

Soul trap does not raise your skill unless you hit something with it. Apparently dead bodies count as legitimate targets.

Cool find I'm going to use this in pursuit of my level 50 trophy.

Or you can jump on a rock next to a mudcrab and keep spawning bound swords

Yeah I have seen that. Soul trap is a bit faster if you use both hands.

If you're going to level like that, you might as well just open console and type player.setav Conjuration 100

I'm on the xbox. I really just use it for a couple of quick increases here and there. I don't want to jack the level scaling all to hell. Just figured I'd help someone else that might want it.
