Please keep DLC coming!

Post » Tue Dec 13, 2011 10:14 pm

Please Bethesda if your reading release DLC soon, and frequently!

Honestly though.. Im getting to the end I think, 70 some hours in, beat main quest, companions ect... Now really goin slow, walking everywhere trying to become thane in each city, own each house, get each daedric item ect..

70 hours is well well worth my money, thank you for that. I just hope you keep new fresh stuff coming so I dont have to wait tooo long with Skyrim sitting on the shelf :)

I know this was intended in a way to be a compliment to them for their great game (and it is, I love it), but their priority needs to be on fixing the bugs for people who can't play and getting the construction set out. Then we can see a good flow of DLC (hopefully good DLC) and player made content.

I personally can't wait to get into the modding.

I love when people beg for content that should have been added to the original game. Fools.

They should be pulling out a dlc every 2 months till the next elder scrolls or fallout but I doubt they will do that.

I think the problem here is that people expect the game to last forever when they zoom through the quest lines. I'm 200+ hours in and I've only gotten halfway through the main quest, beaten the mages, fighters, thieves, DB, done 10 daedric quests, around 20 side quests, what feels like 800000 misc quests, stormcloaks, and 1/4 legion quests.

I still have a ways to go, too.

And the games been out a month, give em at least 2 or 3 before you start begging for DLC

What I want wrt to DLC:

1. More-Better Mounts.

Both Assassins Creed and Red Dead Redemption are good sources to steal from. I would like to see ridable mammoths, and a dragon. Horse races, fighting on mount-back, Chariot races and fighting too. And yesssss Horse Armor (not purchasable) starting with smithing horseshoes and making saddles. I could do without breeding mounts though having a variety of breeds available is good. See also Mount & Blade (PC)

2. Winter Wonderland

I am wanting ice skating, skiing, dog-sledding, snow-man making, snow-ball fights (with kids! gotta hit em with something.), igloos, horse-drawn sleds with silver bells etc. Right now winter seems to be on hold in Winterhold and Windhelm let it move with the seasons. Also, nights in winter last longer. 30 Days of Night anyone?

3. Better mining/dungeoneering.

I would like to own a mine-company and direct the path that tunnels go. Why can't I smash the Urns, Vases, doors and chests etc. (this is Essential! The Warhammer must be fed!). More environment related puzzles, esp. those utilizing shouts and potions (which are mostly useless imo). Go Deep! Maniupalte water & lava flow & solidity; bash through walls etc. Dungeons should be as free form as wander the surface world, not linear/circular chunks. And yea I know most of this can be resolved with the skyrim version of G.E.C.K, but those of us on the consoles can't do that, and would like something better.

4. Better undead/vamp/werewolf stuff

I don't get why would be necromancers go to all the trouble they do when they can just go buy the spell from most any spell vendor. Werewolves don't have much to do but sit around and brood over Bella. Haven't tried the Vamps yet, but I imagine they have similar issues. Watch 30 Days of Night!

Brood over Bella? These werewolves eat peoples faces. They don't whine because a fairy stole some girl from them.

Hopefully they'll do the same they did with Fallout New Vegas, release DLC pretty frequently.

I never got a chance to play the last Fallout DLC that I downloaded because Skyrim came out :P

protip: make a new character if you start feeling bored-give him/her a different playstyle and go through the quests differently-the best thing about a game like this is almost unlimited replay value

They have already mentioned that they aren't doing DLC. They are making (I think 2 was confirmed?) 2 expansions. DLC entails that it will be a far smaller amount of content. I.e. KOTN, Broken Steel, or the Gun Runners Pack. Whereas they are doing Expansions, huge additions of new stand-alone places with their own lore, stories, items, etc. Point Lookout was classified as DLC, but I would say it bordered on expansion. Had it been larger it would have been an expansion for sure.

DLC? I'd rather have the CK out as soon as possible, and then we could begin seeing the creation of content worth a thousand expansion packs.

WRONG.

They said that they are doing LESS DLC, because each DLC is going to be much more substantial in content than they were for Oblivion. Instead of doing ~20 small DLCs, they want to do ~5 or so large DLC.

Disclaimer: Those numbers are just my way of showing my point. They are not official in any way, and are more than likely inaccurate. But you get the point I was making.

No, please don't! :)

Let them work on a patch the fixed the 500-more outstanding glitches and then please work on a expansion! A true one, that is (new lands to explore, no towns, several new artifacts to collect, etc...)
