Try this site. All the names generated are very lore friendly.

Oh, and one more thing. Almost all the Orcs encountered in recent games have the "gro-" prefix in front of their last name.

For example:

Yadbaam gro-Uzuk

Mashag gro-Mogduk

Glad to help.

Basically, for Orcish naming conventions, just use lots of harsh, gutteral consonants and syllables. G's, Z's, and U's are usually prevalent, for example.

You know what'd be a great name for an orc? Tim.

Plus, if you want more general orcish goodness, you can always use the original source on the topic http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Middle-earth_Orcs.

Good luck!

Okay, to sum it up:

Orsimer got a name, like Ulmog. Then comes the special part. Between their first- and surname they got either gro- or gra-. gro- for males and gra- for females.
After the gro- or gra- is the name of their father/mother or their clan.

So an example for male Orsimer is Ulmog gro-Mazog, where Mazog is his father/mother and Juba gra-Ulmog for his daughter.

Much the same way as old Welsh names use to work. I think it's a nice touch, myself.

Many cultures have used this. Earlier it was very usual here. You was named either after your homestead or your parents. Some names, like for example Ragnar ?ystese is named after the ?ystese settlement.
Names like Persen (The son of Per), Larsson (son of Lars), Hansen (son of Hans), B?rdsdottir (old Norwegian, daughter of B?rd) etc.

It is cool I think.

No, not as I've seen. Not in a language that is understandable by us. Like, my name means son in Norwegian, but to others it wouldn't make very much sense I guess.
And I really doubt the devs have made an Orcish language just to use it for names. Just pick something harsh and cool like Ynzaag and pretend it means blood or whatever.

I cant remember the name, but I know I did encounter an Orc in Skyrim that didn't have the "gro" prefix.

But yea, this post is right. I gave a lesson to my friend the other day about the gro / gra prefix lol.

Of course. Many may leave their clan in shame or whatever, but many earn themselves nicknames. Or they were raised by non-orcs or whatever.
Yongar the Bloody is more catchy that Yongar gro-Motra I guess.
