Vastly improved Dungeons.

Dungeons are look spectacular. I agree with the above points people have been bringing up though, they were pretty bright anf the traps are laughable. Still pretty nice though :D Keep it up bethesda.

The Good - Everything you mentioned. Its just a very big improvement over both Morrowind and Oblivion overall.

The Bad - Too bright for areas that have supposedly been long abandoned or sealed. Do all those draugr have torch-lighting duties or something?
- I like the fact there are alot of traps, but they need to be much more deadly overall. They sort of are at early levels but become pointless higher levels. They should always pose a real risk.
- I sort of wish dragon priests had more personality and depth to them. Who were these priests individually in life? I wish some would talk to you or something.

I liked them for a while. Then I realized that they all fall in just a handful of categories and are more or less the same. The same traps, same enemies, same design, same puzzles. Lack of interesting loot. Draugr jumping out of their tombs are plain annoying after couple treks. Plus, all the dungeons are linear - and too long really (seems they made effort putting the loopbacks to the entrance to counter that). Too much emphasis was put on the dungeons and caves in my opinion. How come some old holes in the ground are central points of interest? Definitely more of the plot should happen on the surface.

They're too bright, making it too easy and giving no purpose to light spells or torches. And darker dungeons would be better at revealing stuff more dramatically, like huge lakes etc.

But other than that, I'm liking them.

A huge underground lake would be brilliant =)

Other than the lack of any real darkness, the dungeons design and layouts are something I am really enjoying about the game. The sort of bland quests and lack of choices is somewhat softened because I really have a nice time exploring a new location and discovering its 'flavor'.

Perhaps the brightness was to prevent mass sneaking exploitation or something.

That's what I'm saying, I've been in a dungeon that had a large underground lake in it, and I saw it just about straight away from the entrance. Impressive as it was, I'd have been much more impressed if I'd had to work out, from holding a torch or judging reflection from distant torches that there was a lake. Or by casting some sort of light spell which then revealed it to me... :)

I reckon what would be good would be a dark dungeon mod with a droppable/throwable torch mod... those two together would be superb.
