i walk around with a dark brother hood initiate . i have her wearing full daedric armor and daedric weapons. i had never done the companions quest so i joined up and had to accept there companion to do a quest so when i return my db initiate is nowhere to be found i returned to the db lair in downstar and theres a new initiate there without all my stuff. did i just lose her for good , should i just reload a prior save? any help would be appreciated . that armor was a [censored] to make.

You're probably going to have to reload. Next time, tell your DB initiate companion to wait somewhere for you before you take the Companions' companion.

I had the same issue once. Did you try to fast travel somewhere. They'll show up a lot of times when you do this.

When my normal companion and I got seperated, she was not wearing the armor I gave her until I traded some things with her.

Now, since companions can only really be killed by direct action of the player in this game, I have to ask, why are you giving them the good stuff? Lydia gets all my hand me downs and cast offs.

That's what you get for trusting a cold blooded killer. They were probably in Anvil by the time you noticed them missing.

There is 2 initiates btw, you might have seen the other one the time you were looking for your follower. I imagine the companion questline needed one of them to follow you, so you lost your follower. So I think he would be walking back to the DB safehouse. Just go there and use the wait function.

The DB initiates can't be killed though as a follower, so you don't need to give them armor, especially heavy armor.
