Character Creation System; Would you have preferred Oblivion

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 11:31 am

I felt let down with the character creation system in this game. It was TES. I thought they would have an improved system in this game akin to Oblivion. Apparently, I didnt realize that its the Fallout engine revamped heavily(Mallory from the Thieves guild almost looks copy-pasted from Fallout).

What do you think?

Fallout used the same system as Oblivion.

And I like making people who actually look like people, thank you very much.

I prefer Skyrim's "wide open" approach. With Oblivion I always had a hard time choosing my major skills.

Oblivion's attributes with Skyrim's perks.

Skyrim 2.0? Presets are helpful, but I'd have liked a few more sliders. I'd also like to be able to select major skills, less for the leg up at the beginning than so that certain skills wouldn't count towards leveling. I'd also like attributes back, although with a set number of points to distribute when you level and much of the power still residing in perks.
