Where's my dog?

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 8:29 am

I bought a dog. I took him home to my house in Solitude. I asked him to stay there. Now he's gone.

Where's my dog? (also several horses)

Companions do not want to wait away from their own homes. Any of them will only wait so long before they leave. So, go look for the dog where you found him or purchased him.

Same with the horses.

Hmm..they should change this. My memory is horrible. I would forget where I bought it.

Really????? I have no idea where I got the dog.

B had companions working GREAT in Fallout, why did they not just use the system they clearly spent a lot of effort on?

The dog did you a favor by wandering off.

Now you never have to listen to its constant barking while it blocks the only doorway in the room.

"Stupid dog." :swear:

This is the only thing I don't like about the companions in this game. I go into a room to do something for 10 seconds then spend 5 minutes trying to get past the companion in the doorway. At least in previous games you could move the NPCs by pushing up against them..........

lol, it's so annoying when I try this with Lydia.

She's in the doorway, I walk straight into her, and she says stupidly "Huh?"

I've had them step back themselves when I 'ran/push' against them when I stepped back from it, though like 50% of the time. Now, I just do a lil unrelenting (lvl1 one) to push them back (aimed low, so I won't blow anything else away).

I did the same with vigilance and got a notice that he had went home. I went back to markarth a while later and apparently you have to pay for him again which I thought was pretty stupid. Quick question, can dogs sniff out items like in Fallout 3?

lol, I remember in Dragon Age your dog could do this too.

Once he brought back "found cake". I lol'd and just thought..."Yeah...thanks buddy, but uh...why don't you just keep that one for yourself."
