Windows 7
2nd generation intel i7-2600 (3.4ghz)
8GB RAM
Video card- XFX Radeon HD 6870.
I have ran this game in 1920x1080, with all settings on high, with the exception of Objects and Post-Processing which where set to very high, in DX11 with Hi-Res texture pack both active. I've ran it this way since the two packages where released. Now, two days ago I was playing Crysis 1, it crashed (suprise suprise.) then a few minutes later while surfing the web, the displayed driver failed. This plagued my last system, but it only happened once on this rig. And it's never happened before that. Then Crysis 2 suddenly started running like crap in full screen (some parts hit rock bottom fps) until I switched it out of full screen. Then it ran perfectly, here's the catcher: I could put it back in full screen, and it runs perfectly. The game just does not boot up properly or something, I have to configure the full screen option. Anyway, I did a fresh install on my hard drive (I was planning on it anyway) and loaded up Crysis 2, with Windows 7 fully up to date and the latest graphics drivers, and the problem still persists. I did a video stress test, and examined the card, and they're both fine. The game RUNS fine for some reason I just have to do this every time I go to play it, and I'm having issues discovering what went wrong. Any advice would be appreciated.
