Good Evening,

Recently while playing i came across a Horse wandering around near Orphans Tear, Its owner, a Bandit, dead on the floor at its feet.
I can, obviously, ride the horse, not counting as Stolen, but am unsure what will happen to my own should i ride off on this one.
I assume that if i fast travel on the new one, my bought and paid for Horse will be magically teleported back to Whiterun? (I thiknk thats where i bought it)
And if So will i lose the new one at some point or does it become Player owned?

Supposedly the first horse should go to where you first bought it. So if you bought it in Whiterun, it should return to Whiterun. Don't know what happens if the first horse you get is one that you stole. Sometimes the program does not do as it is supposed to do.

I don't know if your horse will follow you or not you ride another one. However, the horse that you borrow will just go back to it's home base after get off and your owned horse will show up when you Fast Travel.

Now, there seems to be a bug that if you Fast Travel before your borrowed horse can make it home, it will show up next to you and then start walking home again. I only say this as I tried a horse out and it showed up when ever I fast traveled. It finally stopped after I waited 73 hours in the game (for another purpose)

Of course, with the ability to make as many saves as you want to, you could just make a save, try the other horse. Then if you don't like what happens, load the save up and don't ride it.

I got on an abandonded horse somewhere in the wilderness and when I dismounted him he began to trot off back in the direction I had found him.

Ah, i see. So i may as well leave it then. Shame, it could have been a second Horse for free.
