Family And Home ( Quest possibility ) and factions?

If you could have family a wife and child sure some people think its stupid but also it unlock lost of quest ideas Like your family get radied and taken away you wife end up being an assassin your kid gets tied up with the wrong people.

like in oblivion in houses where you get a maid who only gives you certain amount of food beer pie such and such.

something like the skill of you family could be good to

maybe you married a good potion maker and can modify your potion for the right plants

your kid could be maybe born with magic and in time finds out his own new spell and passes it on to you .

Or if the game end up like Fallout NV with the loyalty of groups like NCR

getting in a realtionship with someone improves that factions opinion on you ( it could happen what do you think )

I would say no. Besides, Skyrim sounds like it's in immanent danger, would one have the time to go scouting for a woman, marry her, have a child and raise the child. Sounds a bit to sims like.

Maybe if we do it the barbarian way of clubbing them over their heads, and dragging them back to our caves. Oh, and I want my kids to have beards like the kid in the Capital One commercials.

Or not. Seriously, I'd be okay with something similar to the Ahnassi quest chain in Morrowind, but development time is, I think, better served by working on the storyline and other things. If someone really wants a feature like that, they should mod it in (I think there was one or two Morrowind mods like that) or go play Fable.

On the other hand, if there's enough time and resources to go around, I wouldn't be angry or anything at the inclusion of such an option. I just want it to remain as an option, so I am not compelled to do such things. Most of my heroes don't have time next to saving the world. :D

In OB, Oblivion gates were opening up all over the countryside, deadra were eating babies, and I was stalking people around Skingrad for giggles and stealing their gold.

By the time I took on the main quest I had bought every house in the game, become the new Mad God, Arch Mage, Grey Fox, Arena Champion, one of those knight whatchamacallits in Leyawin, Head of the Brotherhood and had generally ran amuck all over the country.

I would have gotten married and had kids too if the option had been there. But all of that stuff I did was optional. You don't have to do it if you don't want to.

I personally like the idea that you could get married, perhaps you marry into royalty or something. Cultures like the Nords seem like they would be big on family ties and if you abscond with a nord princess or something, well it could be amusing
