Best warrior race?

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 3:27 am

Orc.

Orcs are the best at anything physical period. Of course they only really shine during boss/dragon fights, but no one can touch them when it comes to damage and damage reduction during these periods.

My current character is an all stamina, no health or mana Orc Archer. Hitting Berserk really is god mode, and I don't let ADD dragons fly around enough to get distracted by a rabbit ten miles away that pissed it off in a previous life.

Orc or Breton.

Orcs are the strongest if you use the active properly. Otherwise it's Breton since they just walk all over enemy mages like they don't exist.

Enemy mages are not a problem once you've stacked yourself to near magical immunity with enchantments and perks.

Breton let you use that extra enchantment for something else.

It doesn't really matter. The racist, er I mean racial, bonus's dont really amount to much later on .

Orsimer (Orcs) are the best of the best statistically. Redguards are second and Nords are third. With that said, race doesn't matter at all in the long run. TES, as you know, is one of those games where you can practically become a god despite being a Breton relying only on Two-Handed weapons, clothes instead of armour, and relying on no magic.

Yep Orc is best, people say they are ugly, but your wearing a helmet and whenever your playing your looking at his back anyways =)

Personally I prefer a Redguard just for old times sake. Nord is so-so for me, their abilities aren't all that great. The once a day fear just makes you have to chase your enemies down more.

Too a degree. There is no way to replicate the Orc Berserk ability. It is simply the best in melee combat. The Breton ability is simply the best against Mage's. Berserk offers no protection against a Mage. Heavy Armor + Block can neutrailze a melee warrior. But no help vs a mage

I vote for orc. With tons of points in stamina.

Legendary top-level items do hundreds of damage base (give or take). Personally I use 2-handed hammers for armor piercing.

1. Add in any enchantment damages from fire, ice, etc.
2. Strap on some 2-handed damage echantment items. (I use armor pieces and jewelry that each give a 30% damage bonus)
3. Go into berserk mode
4. Tap w+alt (to sprint) before you hit someone. If you have the critical damage perk this will add bonus critical damage.

There isn't a thing in the game that will ever threaten you again.

Except a level 5 mage who uses cold spells.

I love Warriors! Always play a melee type before a mage or thief. The BIGGEST threat to your warrior is Mages! My Orc warrior can chop other warriors up with no problems. But it is the darn mages that kill me. Berserk ofers NO protection against magic. The Breton 25% resist magic is a sweet bonus for a warrior. After that the Orc is the best.

Lord stone + Mara + 3/3 MR in alteration that's 70% magic resist passively all the time. Breton makes things easier but magic resist is something you can make up for. There is NOTHING that can be done to make up for not having berseker rage.

Imperials/Nords also make decent warriors thanks to their shouts. They are not nearly as strong as Orc though imo.

Actually Block has a perk to reduce magic damage. "Elemental Protection" reduces elemental damage from Fire, Frost, and Shock by 50%

Simply using cover renders Breton's obsolete. Eventually the mage will come to you, and then BAZINGA!

Orcs are definitely the best choice damage wise, due to there berserk power. (Once a day.) But in the end it just does not matter any more. Each race has advantages and disadvantages. I am playing with a Khajiit who is a warrior, and i just hat to do a brawl with some nord. Thanks to the combination of the Khajiits claw attack and the heavy armor perk "Fists of Steel" that was a one sided brawl. My Khajiit got hit first but that was the only time, because four hits later that nord lost. I like that about my Khajiit Warrior. (Hey it is either thinking that or that nord was a wimp. :D)

Not against Dragons, if you play a warrior, in your fight against dragons you need every bit of resistance that you can get, Breton have that. Orcs get a near god mode once a day, I'm kinda disappointed with the racial stats in Skyrim. Breton shouldn't be able to compete with Nords, Orcs and Redguards in straight up melee battle as equals with the only difference being a few starting skills and the once a day powers when those skills don't even have that much effect until you have perks to boost them up... by which point you've caught up on the skills. Even Khajiit and Argonians can stand up as if they were mighty Orc/Nord warriors. All races starting on 100/100/100 (with the exception of High elves 150/100/100) was a mistake in my opinion, one I'm hoping to adjust in a mod with a few other little mistakes =P.
