Does anybody know where my eyes went?

Hello,

I am hoping you guys can help me out with a little problem I am having. Somewhere in Step 5 of "Knot's Guide to a Beautiful Oblivion," I seem to have snafu'd. The resulting mayhem has left every character in Cyrodiil with a distinct lack of eyeballs. I would very much like to resolve this unfortunate misunderstanding, but I am hopelessly noob at modding Oblivion. Thankfully, 3 years of lurking here has taught me that you guys are possibly the best troubleshooters on Talos' green Nirn. So, please, I need a little help. I searched the forum with a few different keyword combinations looking for a related topic but couldn't find one.

Now, brass tacks. I will try to provide as much info as I can.

I have been using the precautions of OBMM, BOSS, and Wrye Bash, along with a handful of stability tweaks all listed at the beginning of Knot's list. As I mentioned, my problem seems to have been created somewhere between succesfully loading Oblivion with no apparent issues after the completion of Knot's Step 4 and loading the game again at the end of Step 5. In light of compatibility issues I did have to add a few things during this stage. Below is my load order from Bash's post patch report screen (sorry, I don't know how to collapse the text):

There were a number of texture and mesh replacers that went in as well. These all came from Knot's list and can be seen easily there in the order I installed them.

I took the liberty of highlighting the esps that were activated as a result of Step 5. So they stand out. I'm afraid that's about it from me. I really don't even have the first idea where to start at. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Where's your bashed patch?

There's also an easier way to list your load order, in the Mods tab in Bash, right click on the header File and go to List Mods. Copy/Paste everything, it includes the spoiler tags.

Thanks for the tip! Bashed Patch is last. Sorry, for some reason Bash itself wasn't listing it in the report, but OBMM does.

So, I have isolated the problem!

It's apparently a conflict involving an esp called "Beautiful PeopleV22 - MaleReplacerV4.esp." I imagine, in retrospect, that it should be activated instead of the usual Robert's Male Bodies V4 esp, but I'm not certain. I also don't know why Wrye Bash didn't fix the conflict. But since I can't seem to figure out what that one does exactly (except add several races I don't need or want), I'm more than happy to leave it out.

Thanks Hanaisse for replying! If all I really learn out of this is how to add a spoiler command to posts, it was probably worth it!

It might help to have the latest version of Beautiful People. You're running 2.2, and it's now up to 2.7. I'm not suggesting this will fix it, but it stands to reason that's the first place to go.

In any case, there should be incompatibilities between the two mods you point out. What's let you to believe this--have you tried unchecking one, to see if the eyes come back?

Oh! I should have made that more clear. Yes. I went through my esps and found that deactivating Beautiful people brought the eyes back. I didn't really want beautiful people in the first place, so it's not a problem for me anymore. I'm really not even sure how it got into my list...
