Master. Get killed by the bear at the beginning, then you'll be finished :)

Master. If you're gonna play high stakes, do it properly. :)

When you die, you delete all your saves for that character. Brave, yet stupid.

If he/she dies, that's the end. No going back. Start a new character.

I would play on adept or expert.

It's like playing in hardcoe mode in Diablo II/III. I had a lot of fun with HC characters in D2 back in the day, but for TES....well, I honestly can't see myself doing it. To each their own though :celebration:

Playing a did character is in itself a big challenge, I recommend adept difficulty.

I do Adept or Expert, but just do whatever you feel most comfortable with.

How is this really a challenge, with health potions working the way they do? Or is there a lot of one-shots?

Can there be some exceptions, like only saving when you go to bed?

Also, never played D.I.D. Is it fun or just plain frustrating?

Depends on how you play. Since you can't reload a savegame when you die, you'll have to be a lot more careful and pick your battles. Sometimes it's more wise to avoid a fight or run away. It makes the game a lot more tense, but also more rewarding when you survive a difficult encounter.

As with any other playstyle in this game... do what ever you want to do. Asking us what you should do is utterly pointless.

So basically, no random dungeon diving at low levels and no traveling for long hauls without a carriage or horse. Hmmm, definitely not gonna do it with my main quest guy.

you would really delete if your character was nearly maxed on skills and you were at the end of the last quest then got cheese killed by a random mudcrab dealing the last blow?

I vote for Expert. Adept is quite easy and Master, without a companion is extremely difficult.

I was playing on Master for a good long while until I hit around level 20-25. At that point anything above a basic unprefixed enemy is insanely tough. Fighting more than one will peace you several hundred pounds lighter from all the health potions you'll need.

Expert I find is a nice balance between the two :)

Don't think anyone would get this far.
