Help Leveling Up

i have some things i need help with and i apologize if most of it confuses you but im kinda in a rush here lol. thanks in advance for any help i might receive.

1. i need some help when leveling up on how i should allocate my points. i dont want to get to a real high level then realize i should of put more points into health or something like that. im a level 24 red guard one handed with sword and shield, heavy armor, and i dont really use magic except restoration spells but i do plan on using magic a bit more once i get further into the game but id say ill only be using magic maybe 10% of the time in combat not counting restoration spells. im pretty much a straight up warrior. right now i have 110 magic 250 in health and 180 in stamina not counting any amulets and all that. so im wondering is there like a general rule of thumb for leveling up for example if im a warrior should i have my health at x amount to be safe? or will i be ok just puting the points where i feel and not worry so much about it? i was thinking since obviously im going to need lots of health ive pretty much been putting every point into that except like 1 point to magic and about 4 into stamina.

2. ok so i plan on making daedric armor and a sword but im waiting to craft them until i have a blacksmith elixir. but im wondering if the 50% bonus comes into play when u actually craft them the first time or only when u upgrade them or both? so lets say i take a elixir then i craft the armor does that mean the armor rating would be 50% higher than if i just crafted it without taking a elixir? im thinking thats the case but i just wanted to make sure. my smithing is at 100 and i have a bunch of ebony and hearts i just wanted to get that straightened out first. oh and by the way is there any specific place to get a blacksmith elixir? ive been searching shops but havent found one yet.

Levelling is basically straight forward. Just use the ability you want to increase and use it often.

Depending on how your chacracter is created (race, focuses etc.) some abilities let you level up faster then others.

My warrior never spent a single point into magicka. I only leveled up my health until I had 600, then I figured I had enough and went for stamina. I'd recommend using potions (horde those ultimate healing potions) and remember that you can wait an ingame hour when no enemies are around to refill your health. If you really want to use restoration, then I don't know how much magicka you'll need, sorry.
