First Mod finished: Feedback needed

Post » Wed Dec 14, 2011 10:35 am

Hi, i just finished my first mod. It' for - who guesses - Oblivion.

I worked basing on Oblivion and Shivering Isles in german version.

Any Tester should understand german language fluently.

It's a storage, a big hall with bed, many chests, a (too ?) big garden
and a small secret. There is a hidden quest with an npc. You first
have advantage when >= lvl 2 or spoken with Jeoffrey (main quest).
Last advantage is accessable at lvl 35 (npc becomes dealer and
trainer and so on).

Everything seems to work well. 1.66 Mb 7z-file containing
an esp, a bsa and a german readme.

But it'isn't uploaded anywhere still. Any suggestions ?

Since I don't know any german, i can't help with the mod, but if you want suggestion on where to upload it, TESNexus seems to be the most popular place for Oblivion mods.

Hey Hallo!

Ok, I just wrote Stargreeter that I speak German and will look at his mod. :) It sounds kinda nice, not overblown. You get a spell that will transport you to a room the "Asylum" where you have a home, basically. There also is a hidden quest.

Why is it that I always, always work my way through the German, with which I'm moderately familiar, and only then realize there's a translation, below?

I haven't tried the mod yet. The word "finished" puts me off a little, as my experience of writing mods suggests you can never achieve that state. "Ready to use" maybe, but if it's any good, the users will want more, and it will become unfinished again.

However I go to the opposite extreme and consider all my mods to be in permanent beta release, as there's always something I haven't completed yet.

"finished" means it's ready to use: Think i am more a gamer than a modder and my mod fits my personal wishes as a gamer^^.
It's simply good to play again after the work^^.
